My RINGER Review
Alright lets put a couple of things on the table right off the bat. First off, I’m a huge Sarah Michelle Gellar Fan. I thought Buffy The Vampire Slayer was way ahead of it’s time and paved the way for shows like The Vampire Diaires and True Blood. Second, I am employee of CW 44. So some people could say I’m biased when it comes to the new show RINGER that premiered Tuesday night (9/13) on the CW and you know what, maybe they are right. But like I said before this is my blog and I’ll write what I want and I say this show is very cool.
Now I’m not going to do a total recap like some kind of court reporter but there will be some spoilers ahead so if it’s still on your DVR stop what your doing go watch it and come back and read this later. First off I love the whole twin switcheroo gimmick. It never gets old whether its in THE PRESTIGE with Christian Bale or the Bella Twins from the WWE. Now this show is soapy but the pace of it makes the ride move along nicely but still leaves alot of questions to be answered. After all you want the audience to keep coming back too see how the web of deciet becomes untangled. Will Bridget fall for her new husband who actually can’t stand the old her or will she end up with brooding guy standing under the street light that’s her best friend’s husband. Like I said, it’s a little soapy but it’s cool because you know that FBI agent Victor Machado (Great name by the way) or that murdering strip club owner that she let walk free is going to shoot the place up at some point in the series. Plus throw in a pregrancy that will need to be faked and a possible murder plot against the other twin. Hook, Line, and Sinker. This show has a lot of potential so tune in next week and see where all the twists and turns take you.
