Is it October yet?!
Our first face is the freshest of all, Mamie Gummer. She plays Dr. Emily Owens in the new series Emily Owens M.D. You may notice when you look at her face that she looks a bit like an Academy Award winning actress and for obvious reasons, Gummer is the daughter of Meryl Streep.
The 29-year-old is no newbie to the acting world appearing at the age of three with her mother in Heartburn. Gummer also studied theatre and communications at Northwestern University and graduated in 2005. She made her motion picture début with a minor role in Lasse Hallström’s The Hoax, starring Richard Gere and in 2007 and Gummer starred with her mother in Michael Cunningham’s film adaptation of Susan Minot’s novel Evening, playing her mother as a young woman. She has guest-starred on other TV series and received critical praise and a Tony nomination for her Broadway début of Les liaisons dangereuses.

Katie Cassidy is the daughter of David Cassidy, the stars of The Partridge Family and every teen girls love interest in the 1970s. Cassidy is a skilled guitarist and pianist and even sang a cover of her father’s song, “I Think I Love You.”
