Bayside: Youth and Family Alternatives (9-29)

This episode airs Saturday morning (Sept. 29) at 6:30am!

Youth and Family Alternatives (YFA) is a private, not-for-profit service organization dedicated to helping families. We are committed to working in partnership with families to establish and maintain a nurturing environment for children. YFA started in 1970 in Pasco County and now serves 13 counties in Greater Tampa Bay area. Their areas of focus include child welfare, delinquency prevention, mental health and substance abuse. The New Beginnings shelter began operation in Brooksville in 2001 and each year serves over 250 youth. YFA is supported by United Way and accredited by the Council On Accreditation.

Just like most organizations, YFA could not exist without charitable contributions from donors and this year they are raising money by having a Run for New Beginnings 5K.
