Nina Dobrev on the Cover of Seventeen Magazine

The Vampire Diaries star, Nina Dobrev on the cover of Seventeen

The lovely Nina Dobrev graced the cover of the October issue of Seventeen Magazine dishing on high school, relationships, girl time and her new movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower. (See what Nina wore to the premiere here.)

The Perks of Being a Wallflower comes out Sept. 21st. In the film, Nina plays a high school senior with a dark secret (sound familiar?). Her character has her life together, except for the fact that her boyfriend is abusive.  According to the interview, Nina is hoping the movie will show that “everyone – even people you think are perfect – [are] going through something difficult,” and that her role will give “girls some perspective.”

So, what is the key to a good relationship, Seventeen Magazine asked? For Nina, it’s all about friendship and being with the person that makes you smile.  “The best relationships are the ones that are a continuation of a friendship,” she says.  For her and costar (now boyfriend) Ian Somerhalder, friendship was where it all started.

Even with her busy schedule and hot boyfriend, it’s important for Nina to have fun and just hang out. This year, the females of The Vampire Diaries cast are headed to Disney World for a girls’ weekend filled with fun, food and film. And by film, we mean “lots of pictures.”  Sounds like a good time.

We love that our favorite on-screen friends are pals in real life. And isn’t Nina perfectly adorable? We can’t wait to see her in her new movie. But, come on, Nina, tell us more about Ian!
