In order to find the perfect hair style to fit your face, the first thing you want to do is realize what kind of face shape you have. According to beauty.about.com there is long, square, round, heart-shaped, and oval face shapes.

Long Shaped Faces

If you have a long face, it is best that you have some body in your hair and that will add width to your face. Curls or waves and/or a shoulder length cut, is a good hairstyle that doesn’t elongate the face.

If you have a wider forehead, side swooped bangs are excellent. Also long bobs, long waves, and shoulder length hair looks good on this kind of  heart shaped loving face.

Round Shaped Faces
