Best Picture Main Dishes: Love Les Mis or Django Unchained? How about make the food for your party themed to your favorite Best Picture Nominee?

Les Miserables takes place in 19th century France.  And even though this movie portrays Jean Valjean stealing bread for his family and spending years in prison for it, french bread is delicious! And baguettes are a perfect pre-viewing Oscar food.  Get a recipe for baguettes here.

The American South is notorious for many things in the last 200 years.  One of the finer things they are famous for: comfort food! No one can turn down the comfort of country fried chicken or some homemade cornbread.  Make some Southern Style food for your Django Unchained party treat.

Academy Awards Games: Every good party needs pre-event games to entertain the guests.  Use the awards show to create games such as these easy to make games:

Red Carpet Bingo

Use the red carpet fashion to play bingo! All the stars usually wear dresses and tuxes from some of the same designers.  For example, if an actress shows up in a Valentino gown, you got a C! But I expect you know how to play BINGO already.  You can make the cards say anything you want.  Be creative!

Fantasy Oscars Draft Game

You’ve heard of Fantasy Football.  Well this is similar.  Fantasy Football, except instead of NFL players, you use actors, actresses, directors, and movies as your players! To get full printouts of these cards and the rules to the game, check it out here.
