Ian Somerhalder, a known animal activist and cat owner, hit the carpet for the South by Southwest festival only to run into the Grumpy Cat and quickly snatch her up.  “Grumpy Cat’s a girl. Who knew,” Somerhalder exclaimed.

The CW Star was not shy about showing his love for Tabitha (aka Grumpy Cat).  He made it very clear he would love to have a grumpy cat of his own to plant millions of smooches on.  “I almost stole her,” Somerhalder reported to People.com, “It was pretty awesome.” Ohh, what I wouldnt give to be that cat!

We totally agree, it is awesome!  And now there’s no getting past Ian’s perfection.  Smoking hot AND an animal lover. Sold! I don’t think the Grumpy Cat will be grumpy any longer after that kiss. Let’s all get our own Grumpy Cats so Somerhalder will come over and kiss us… what? A girl can dream!

Catch Ian Somerhalder on The Vampire Diaries Thursdays at 8pm on CW44.
