Fun in Tampa Bay This May
Are you tired of your same old routine? Do you live in the Tampa Bay area? Are you looking for something fun to do to spice up your normal routine? If you answered yes to any of the questions above, then this is the blog post for you! There are a 2 events going on in Tampa in the next few weeks that caught my attention.
The first is the Color Me Rad 5K run on May 25th, one of the many franchises of the color run trend. If you haven’t heard, during a color run, runners are instructed to show up in white running gear. Throughout the race, colored powder is released into the air! So fun! If you’re worried about the safety of the powder, the Color Me Rad website ensures that the powder is dyed corn starch and is completely safe for people to run through. By the end of the race, runners are covered head to toe in this colorful powder. Sounds fun right? If it does, you still have a few days to register. Late registration goes until May 17, 2013 and it costs $45 to sign up. Here is the link to sign up.
If you’re looking for ‘big kid’ fun, the Tampa Bay Margarita Festival is for you! On May 25th, Downtown Tampa will be filled with margarita drinkers of all kinds! The event is for people age 21 and up, of course. Pre-sale tickets are $15 and tickets will be $20 at the door if they are still available. The margaritas will be made fresh by the festival’s trained bar tenders. If you need some food to sop up all those margaritas, there will be a selection of food trucks at the festival, as well. Along with food and drink, the festival will have live entertainment, beach volleyball and fireworks! If you’re over the age of 21 and you want to attend the festival here is the link to buy tickets.
