Smallville: Where Are They Now?
I recently saw the film The Man of Steel and loved it! However, it caused a big problem for me… it made me miss Smallville even more than before! I can’t believe it has been two years since the show ended! It made me wonder: where the stars of this fabulous cast are now?
Superman himself, Tom Welling, has two movies coming out this year and the next. He plays Roy Kellerman in the upcoming movie Parkland. The film is based on the chaotic events that occurred at Dallas’ Parkland Hospital on the day U.S. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. He is currently filming the other movie called Draft Day, which is about the General Manager of the Cleveland Browns trying to obtain the number one pick for his struggling team.
Erica Durance is the main character in the Canadian television series Saving Hope along with The Vampire Diaries and The Originals star Daniel Gillies (Elijah). Durance plays the Chief of Surgery in the show’s fictional hospital. The series is going into its sophomore season, but we will always remember Erica as the intelligent and daring reporter.
Justin Hartley starred as one of the main characters in The CW show Emily Owens, MD. Unfortunately, Emily Owens was not renewed, but the good news is that it gives Justin the opportunity to come back to Blue Bell and reunite with his brother Wade on the third season of Hart of Dixie.
Kristin Kreuk came back to The CW family and is the lead female in The CW series Beauty and the Beast. The show is doing really well and even won the 2013 People’s choice award for Best new TV drama. The show will start its second season in the fall at an all new day and time, Mondays at 9pm.
Allison Mack once played Clark Kent’s loyal best friend, but now she plays the character of Amanda on the television series Wilfred. Her character is a biochemist and the former love interest of the main character, but for us she is still that intelligent, curious and impulsive journalist.
Bonus! Amy Adams plays Lois Lane in The Man of Steel, but before becoming this mega-star she was a Meteor Freak of the week in the first season of Smallville. She appeared in episode 7, Craving, as an overweight teenager who was obsessed with losing weight. She begins a vegetable diet without knowing the vegetables were infected with Kryptonite. The meteor rock causes her to rapidly lose the pounds, but she is forced to suck human fat to satisfy her hunger.
