Dave Matthews Hitchhikes to His Show

This past Saturday in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Dave Matthews was on his way to his concert alone, on his bike, when he got a flat tire. He had no cell phone and no other way of communicating with someone to get help.

Luckily, a couple was running a little late for the concert and happened to drive by and see that Dave Matthews alone on the side of the road. Like any true Dave fans would, they stopped to pick him up. They even had a bike rack so Dave didn’t have to abandon his bike in the middle of nowhere.

Emily Kraus and her boyfriend, Joe, are Dave Matthews’ heroes. How cool would it be to help one of your favorite artists get to their concert… the concert that you are on your way to?! I mean, WOW! Dave wanted to show his appreciation to Emily and Joe, so he gave them front row tickets and signed them saying “Thanks for the ride!” He also invited them to join him and his band for dinner after the show. AHHH, SUPER COOL!

In an interview by ABC News, Kraus said, “I woke up this morning, and I rolled over and I said, okay yeah that really happened yesterday ha ha ha ha! It was surreal we couldn’t believe it.” What a story, huh!?

Dave Matthews is actually coming to Tampa, Florida and CW44 will be there! The concert is TONIGHT, July 17th, at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheater at 7pm. Be there! And see if you can spot Dave cycling his way to tonight’s show!
