The Young Hollywood Awards celebrate the accomplishments of emerging young talent throughout the entertainment industry. Many call it the “Oscars of Young Hollywood”, because it has become the launch pad for the future careers of actors, directors and entertainers.
This year, The Young Hollywood Awards was hosted by one of our very own and aired on our very own channel! Aisha Tyler (Whose Line Is It Anyway?) played hostess to the award show which aired August 1st on CW44! Some of our favorite CW stars made appearances and accepted awards… well duhh, our stars are the best! As usual, our stars looked amazing and made us very proud. This post celebrates their accomplishments and their great style. Let’s take a look at what they wore!
Aimee Teegarden, star of CW’s Star-Crossed, looks like a classic beauty in this black and gold, lace dress. She found the perfect match with the nude heels and cute, gold clutch.
Aisha Tyler was so happy to be hosting The Young Hollywood Awards! Her dress was pretty and sexy at the same time; I love the glitter. The outfit reaches new heights with her choice of little, red booties! It was such a daring mix, but it worked so well.
Again, Tyler went with more sparkle! The simplicity of this outfit is perfect. The best part is the super glittery skirt!
AnnaSophia Robb (The Carrie Diaries) is growing up right before our eyes, and she is doing it so well! Her dress is pretty and elegant, but the butterfly print keeps her looking youthful and fun. And great shoe choice with such a simple dress, I love a girl in gold pumps! Big congratulations to Robb for winning Female Superstar of Tomorrow at the award show… we’re so proud!
Ladies, I had to do it! He’s always looking good, but damn… he looks gooood! Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries)chose a black and white, pin-striped suit, complete with a vest and dress shoes. The most important thing about this outfit is what’s missing. Somerhalder went tieless with this ensemble and boy… we ain’t even mad! His cleaned up looked is slightly disheveled with his bed head and unbuttoned, button up. LOVE IT!
I know he’s not our star, but I just had to talk about him. Miguel performed at The Young Hollywood Awards and opted for a Nirvana inspired, grunge look. The vest and T-shirt are almost okay, but the long-sleeve around the waste and torn jeans just have me confused. Sorry Miguel, this look was no ‘Sure Thing.’
Congrats to our stars for being part of a great event! We are already getting excited for next year’s Young Hollywood Awards. Look for our fancy stars every night on CW44!
