Ed Westwick, Where Are You Now?

Yesterday, [Tuesday, October 15th] Gossip Girl fans rejoiced as Ed Westwick returned to CW44 for just a brief moment. The Queen Latifah Show played host to the Brit as he graced our airwaves once again. Every moment of his presence made GG fans everywhere swoon!

After seeing his handsome face on TV again after so long, we began to wonder… what is Ed up to these days? And so, the tedious research began… okay, it wasn’t really tedious, we wanted to know more!

We know that he plays Tybalt in the new film Romeo and Juliet, but that was not enough info. Lucky for us, earlier this week, he appeared in an interview with Refinery 29 where he discussed life after GG. Ed says he would like to experience film more deeply, but he still has a passion for American TV. He said:

“At the moment, you know I did six years on Gossip Girl and it was an amazing experience. It was my first time working on an American TV show. And, right now, I’m enjoying the idea of exploring film and going from character to character. But, I’d also like to say that American television is really, really coming into its own. I think it’s amazing – the ambition that American television has is really attractive to any actor, because the quality of the content is superb right now.”

Ed also discussed his love for NYC. He said:

“I decided to leave New York after Gossip Girl, and I had such a specific experience of it for the time we were there. I have a place there and I look forward to going back at some point. I have wonderful friends there, and New York is an amazing place and did so much for me, and it was an incredible experience, but what I’d like to do, is, at some point, is go back and experience it in a different way.”

Well Ed, no matter what state you live in or what film you are the star of, we will always reminisce on the memory of Chair!
