Mrs. Krabapple Will Leave ‘The Simpsons’

CW44’s longtime favorite, animated series is mourning the loss of one of its veterans. Marcia Wallace (Mrs. Krabapple of The Simpsons), passed away last week. Now, producers say that the irreplaceable actress will be written off of the show.

According to TMZ, Mrs. Krabapple will be written off of The Simpsons, but luckily, not any time soon. Before her death, Marcia recorded a year’s worth of episodes, so Edna Krabapple will spend a little more time in Springfield.

Earlier this year, The Simpsons‘ producers promised fans that, in the coming season, they plan to kill off a mystery character. TMZ announced that it will not be Mrs. Krabapple, so the jury is still out on how they will write Bart’s teacher off of the show.

For this Simpsons fan, it is truly the end of an era! I grew up with Mrs. Krabapple as my teacher and I always felt like one of her fourth grade students. Fourth grade will not be the same without her.

You will be missed!
