School Removes Their Landmark Because Of Miley

Miley has really made an impact with her “Wrecking Ball” music video! Grand Valley State University actually had to remove their iconic wrecking ball due to Miley music video imitators.  According to Detroit Free Press, a student actually made a naked video of himself swinging on the wrecking ball and the video went viral! Many other social media contributions were made as well:

According to Timeschool officials became concerned with their students safety because of the horse-play with the wrecking ball. Quite honestly, I thought the idea of remaking your own “Wrecking Ball” music video with your own personal touches is hysterical, but I could understand where the school officials are coming from.  The students did not want to give their pendulum up though; they began to protest… I’m sure Miley would be proud!

After some time, the protest made an impact on officials and they plan to re-install the school’s “artwork.” I love the creativity of the GVSU student body (haha… student body), but maybe they should spend more time studying and less time wrecking!
