The CW family keeps getting bigger! We have just received some major casting news that you need to know!
A few months ago, our resident Couch Potato T.M. revealed Arrow‘s casting of Flash (see the article here). T.M. gave us the news and predicted that Flash’s story is too good to act as a side character on Arrow and will eventually become its own series. Yet again, he was right (don’t tell him though, he’ll get a big head).
The Flash pilot is in the works and casting is happening as we speak. Grant Gustin plays Barry (aka Flash) and will be the star of the pilot. Jesse L. Martin, who played Detective Ed Green on Law and Order, has now been casted as Detective West. Detective West is Barry’s surrogate father and is described as an honest, blue-collar cop. He took Barry in after his mother was murdered and his father was imprisoned. The casting of Martin is big news to comic book geeks everywhere! What was once a side character to the Green Arrow has now become much more. Stayed tuned for more details on the pilot.
But wait, there’s more! You may have noticed a special guest on the January 22nd episode of The Tomorrow People. Well folks, it looks like she may be sticking around for a little while. Alexa Vega guest starred along-side Robbie Amell as Hillary, an ass-kicking little lady who seems to have it out for Stephen. The question is: how long is she planning to hang out at Ultra? In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Vega was vague yet reassuring. She said,
“I don’t really know what I’m allowed to say. I will say this: I’m still in Vancouver shooting. The good news is I’m still kicking butt.”
That makes us very happy! But we want to know more about the mysterious and mean Hillary! Vega went on to say,
“So Hillary does start unfolding a little bit more. I’m eager to see what else they do with her, just because she’s such an interesting girl. You want to know why she’s so cutthroat and how can she be so brutal about everything and why is she such a stickler the way she is? I’m really eager to hear about her background and hopefully see how she came up.”
We don’t know much about The Flash pilot or Hillary’s future with Ultra, but we do know that we’re excited for whatever is to come. Stay tuned for more info!
