Valentine’s Day | Date Ideas

So it’s Valentine’s Day again. Boys, you booked a table at her favorite restaurant and got your fancy shirt pressed. Ladies, you put little hearts on your finger nails and you are searching for the perfect dress. You’re excited, but for some reason it all feels too familiar… that’s because it is! This Valentine’s Day, ditch the cloth napkin dinner for two and do something different.

We put together a few ideas to inspire your new and improved Valentine’s Day celebration!

Take a Class | When you’re together, everything is more fun. Take a Zumba class together and make fun of his dancing skills. Or, try an art class and frame your masterpiece.

Go Food Trucking | Food trucks are an awesome way to try lots of exotic food. Roaming Hunger is a site that tracks local food trucks and provides their exact location throughout the day.

Tour a Winery or Brewery | Tampa Bay knows how to booze it up… just kidding, we’re classy drinkers! Take a tour of Plant City’s Keel and Curley Winery or Tampa’s Yuengling Brewery. The plus side: sampling is usually encouraged ;)

Bake Together | Baking gives you the opportunity to get in the kitchen and create something together. Baking is experimental and fun… and you get to eat it when you’re done! Try one of these sweet recipes!

Go to the Drive-In | The drive-in is a retro twist on the typical movie date. Head to a local drive-in, like Tampa’s Funlan, cozy up under a blanket in the car and get lost in a movie.

Take a Drive | Pack up the car with some of your favorite snacks and hit the open road. Just drive. Enjoy the journey and the destination… wherever that may be.

Watch the Sunset | Yeah, it’s corny… but who cares?! Here in Tampa Bay, the beach is always just a few miles away. Pack a simple dinner or sweet dessert, hit the sand and watch the sun go down. I don’t care how masculine you are… everyone loves a good sunset!
