The 4 | “The 100” Inspired Fashion
I was lucky enough to see the pilot episode of The 100 earlier this month and I instantly fell in love with the futuristic society and fashion trends. The theme of the show is survival of the fittest and industrialization of society which reminds me of the premise behind The Hunger Games series. In both, young men and women are tested in ways we can’t imagine. Although the wardrobe in The Hunger Games series is a bit outlandish, there are many style similarities between The 100 and The Hunger Games.
With spring upon us, I thought it was the best time to freshen our wardrobes and find some inspiration! So here are The 4 The 100 inspired looks.
1. Leather Jacket | A leather jacket, regardless of the color or realness of the leather, is a must! You can make your look athletic with a pair of leggings or sophisticated with a dress. Either way you do it, you will instantly capture the essence of Clarke (Eliza Taylor) from The 100.

2. Boots | From high tops to ankle boots, so many TV characters, and runway models, are seen wearing combat boots. Combat boots instantly create an earthy feel that make any outfit fierce. Combat boots are fashion forward and practical, so you’re always ready to take on the radiation soaked planet.

3. Braids | Long gone are the days when braids were only associated with Pocahontas and cowboys. Braids are constantly seen in The Hunger Games and The 100. They are the perfect accessory for keeping your hair out of your face while still looking girly and feminine. Whether you are going for elegant or sporty, braids are a must!
4. Gray Tones | Gray tones are omnipresent in both The 100 and The Hunger Games. Gray tones are perfect in casual outfits, in the form of T-shirts and jeans. But we are seeing grey more and more in couture gowns. With prom and wedding season right around the corner, now is the time to rock an edgy, yet couture, gray gown!
