Picture yourself driving down the road listening to the radio, when all of a sudden that song begins to play that you haven’t heard in what feels like ages. Miraculously, you  remember all of the lyrics and suddenly, you’re in a good mood! Regardless of what song might have come to your mind, I refer to songs like these as ” timeless tracks.” These songs were created by artists who no longer need to make new hits in order for you to remain a fan.

Few bands have been able to create this type of music and keep a following that allows for their reputation to be passed down from generation to generation, but for those who have, we salute you.

Take a look at this short list of timeless tracks, and the artists who created them. Hopefully, they will spark a memory of your favorite song!

1|  “Don’ t stop Believing ”- Journey: Love it or hate it, this song is a classic. As cliché as the tune now is, there’s something about this hopeful anthem that has appealed to music listeners of all ages since the 80’s. The relatable nature of Journey’s song lyrics are proof that all generations are united in their quest for love and success.

2| “Rock and Roll All Nite ”- Kiss: We’ve all seen kids dressed up for Halloween alongside their parents as the glam metal band, which is part of what has helped Kiss’ reputation last for generations. Their 1975 single “Rock and Roll All Nite” helped launch them into the industry, and, to this day, helps ignite the mood of any tailgate, party or sporting event! It is also one of the easiest songs to re-create at a karaoke bar, appealing to those who aren’t as musically gifted. To continue building their fan base, Kiss will be in Tampa July 23rd! Be sure to grab the face paint and get ready to rock, and roll, all night!

3|  “All the small things” –Blink -182: Although the band is no longer together, if you’re a 90’s child like me, nothing takes you back to your teenage years quicker than a Blink -182 song. Despite the band’s hiatus, fans are always hopeful that the three, punk rock pioneers will have a reunion tour. If not, we will use Pandora and other sources to introduce future generations of the rebellious and fun music they made!

4|  “ Margaritaville ”Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band: A simplistic man, Jimmy Buffett has captured the hearts of generations through his laid back lyrics about enjoying life, and of course margaritas. Whether or not you have a boat, or have visited Key West, Jimmy Buffett’s music will take you to your personal place of paradise. Jimmy Buffett fans can spend their day “wasted away in Margatitaville” on April 19th as he makes his way to Tampa at the Midflorida Credit Union Amphitheatre!
