Leighton Meester Talks Working With Hubby

Our original Gossip Girl Leighton Meester and new hubby Adam Brody are not usually ones for the gossip pages. They tend to stay out of the headlines as much as possible. But they finally came out of their shells to give us some married life details!

At Leighton’s opening night Of Mice and Men on Broadway, she dished to Newsday about her new life with Adam and their upcoming work together. The couple is currently working on a comedy called Life Partners, set to come out this year at the Tribeca Film Festival

In a recent interview with Newsday, she opened up about her work with Adam. She said,

“Yeah, that pesky guy. It’s about finding each other, and how it kinda hurts to change and grow… for the better, even. It was the best. We basically got to say whatever came to our minds. There was a lot of improv.”

What a great way to work out your relationship frustrations without getting in trouble!

Newsday asked what it is like working with her new husband on the film. Leighton replied,

Yeah. That came along just by chance. I was like, “I’m gonna be playing the person you’re not dating.” [she laughs] “That OK? I’m gonna be playing the opposite of that.” And yeah, I’m biased — but he’s incredible in it.”

How sweet! She sounds so proud of her man. I love when a couple uses their chemistry to make magic on-screen. Move over Chair, Blair’s got a new man!
