The 4 | Celebrate Earth Day

Many people don’t know much about Earth Day, let alone know how to celebrate this special. Not to worry! I have compiled a list of 4 fun things you can do to celebrate this forgotten day… even better, half of them deal with food!

1. Visit a local garden | There are many gardens in the Tampa Bay area to choose from. My personal favorites are Sunken Gardens and the USF Botanical gardens. If work and school are stressing you out, take a break from the day to smell the roses!

2. Drink coffee | But wait, I do this everyday! This Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22, Starbucks will be giving a 10-cent discount on your cup of Joe when you bring in a reusable mug!

3. Indulge in a milkshake | Various EVOS restaurants will be offering FREE organic milkshakes. I am not sure how this helps preserve the earth, but count me in!

4. Watch ‘ The 100’ | Check out our very own CW original show The 100 Wednesdays at 9pm! It is a great show that displays the importance of taking care of our current environment. See how our 100 survive a radiation soaked world as we try to avoid this happening in present day. If you can’t wait until Wednesday, check out cwtv.com to catch up on the episodes you may have missed!

Happy Earth Day to all and to all a good day!
