Bayside: Pasco ASAP (7/26)
The District Six Medical Examiner’s Office newly released data affirms that Pasco County has decreased the number of drug related deaths related to prescription pill abuse. From 2010 to 2013 Pasco County’s drug related deaths decreased by 58.8%. However Oxycodone and Alprazolam continue to be the most common drugs identified in lethal levels, according to the Pasco County Medical Examiner. Morton Plant North Bay Hospital and the Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) of Pasco County have collaborated to work with the citizens in Pasco County to provide them with safe and appropriate education to decrease the risk of poisoning, diversion, and misuse.
