Unfortunately in Florida we don’t get to experience fall like most other states. Our leaves don’t change pretty colors and the temperatures barely drop below 90 degrees. (Don’t feel sorry for us, we can still go to the beach in December.)
Fall fashion is also something that is different in Florida, we can’t start wearing some of the new fall trends because it’s simply too hot here to wear most of them. Because of this, I’ve decided to tailor this “fall fashion preview” to all of my Florida fashionistas. We can dress for fall and still make it work with our lifestyle.
1) Cut-out (or perforated) booties
The booties are perfect for a Florida fall. You can throw on these with a dress or cuffed jeans, and the cut-out detail gives them style and makes them Florida appropriate.
Shop these booties (they’re 30% off right now!) >> Target.com
2) Ultra Distressed Jeans
Jeans are a fall staple no matter where you live, but the ultra distressed version is perfect for those Tampa afternoons because you will still be able to feel a breeze through your denim. (Boyfriend jeans are my personal favorite right now.)
Shop these jeans (only $29.99) >> Target.com
3) Blue- royal, navy, cobalt
Color is a great way to transition your wardrobe into the next season and this season’s “it” color is blue. Simply start incorporating more blue into your looks as we inch closer to fall.

Tuxedo vests are a great replacement to a blazer during warmer months and are perfect for still maintaining a professional look, plus they are great for updating causal outfits as well.

5) Pattern mixing
This is one of those things that you either feel comfortable with or you don’t, but this fall is going to be filled with patterns. An easy way to do this is to buy a dress that already has two different patterns, this makes it very simple for you and will help get you comfortable.

***FALL BEAUTY- Incorporate some cranberry colors into your fall make-up routine (lipstick, blush, eyeshadow). I have a feeling dark cranberry lips are going to be very popular this fall.
