Life can be very stressful and challenging for youth and young adults, and many of them have a limited number of people that they can turn to for support. Florida Healthy Transitions is a program funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The program aims to improve access to treatment and support services for youth and young adults ages 16 – 25 that either have, are experiencing symptoms, or are at risk of developing a serious mental health condition. The program also aims to reduce stigma related to mental health, and focuses on empowering young people to be their best. To learn more, don’t miss this episode of Bayside.
