Pilot Alert: DC’s ‘Black Lightning’ Ordered by The CW

Superhero fans unite in victory, The CW has done it again!

On February 3rd, The Hollywood Reporter announced that DC’s Comics Black Lightning will move from Fox’s hand to The CW’s. The drama is written by Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil, a husband and wife producing team known best for The Game.

Black Lightning hit comic book pages in 1977 and is one of DC’s first black superheroes. The story features Jefferson Pierce, a father and husband who left his superhero life in his past. With the help of his daughter and the demise of his hometown, Pierce decided to continue his vigilante work as Black Lightning.

What are your thoughts on this possible CW pickup?
