The Clearwater Audubon Society conducts bird counts, protects shore birds, participates in citizen science programs, such as EagleWatch, and conducts educational programs for the public with live birds of prey. The birds of prey have been permanently injured and cannot be returned to the wild. They have been placed at Moccasin Lake Nature Park in Clearwater to serve as educational ambassadors. The Clearwater Audubon Society includes basic biological information on the birds as well as conservation topics, such as use of rodenticide and habitat loss. Meet some of Tampa Bay’s most beautiful birds and learn more about the Clearwater Audubon Society on this episode of Bayside.
