Avril Lavigne Goes To Marilyn Manson For Music And Style Advice

Everyone knows Avril Lavigne worked with Nickelback frontman (and now fiancé) Chad Kroeger on her upcoming album. But she also received a little help from Marilyn Manson.

Lavigne told MTV that Manson helped bring her out her naughty side on the song “Bad Girl, ” which will be on her untitled album, due out this September. At the last minute while recording the track Lavigne texted Manson, who she’s known since she was 18 years old, and just asked if he’d be willing to come by.

“He’s like, ‘I’ll come over and I’ll hear it,’” she explained. “So he came at 4 o’clock in the morning… Yes, it was one of those nights.”

Paris Hilton Has A Record Deal…Say What?!

If the Apocalypse wasn’t coming before, it sure is now. E! News is reporting that the infamous Paris Hilton has been signed to a record deal with Cash Money Records. My first thought was “Is this a joke?” and I’m sure that was your first thought too! You may remember Hilton’s first attempt at creating a singing career back in 2006… it’s okay if you don’t, I think we’re all still trying to forget. She had one semi-hit of a song called “Stars Are Blind” and that was basically it for her singing career until now.

Apparently she’s going with more of an EDM (Electronic Dance Music) vibe on this album, which may work out better for her lack of singing ability. Plus, EDM is huge in the music world right now so it makes sense that she would try to stay relevant with this new album. I mean, how else is the heiress going to stay relevant? Especially since we haven’t seen or heard much from her in the past few years.

There is no official release date for her new album but I’m sure we’ll hear something soon (don’t worry guys, we’ll keep you posted, I know you want to know sooo bad!). What do you think of Paris’ new album? Will it make you want to dance or make you want to cover your ears?

Stars All Over ‘The Simpsons’

The saying goes, “You’re nobody till somebody loves you.” I have always said, “You’re nobody till somebody colors you yellow and puts you on TV.”

I’ll explain. Our favorite yellow family, The Simpsons, just celebrated their 25th anniversary. They are currently the longest-running cartoon series and longest-running sitcom in the history of forever. That’s incredible! This yellow family has truly stood the test of time.

Now back to my first statement. The Simpsons has been host to an insane number of stars. Everyone who is anyone has lent their vocal talents to the show and leaves the experience with a yellow-bellied version of themselves. The list of stars is truly remarkable. Guest starring has become a near right of passage in the celebrity community, and the tradition continues to carry on.

Here is a surprising list of a tiny portion of the stars who have donned the yellow birthday suit on The Simpsons.

It’s almost officially summer, even though in Tampa it feels as though it has been since March. Summer is sometimes a hard time to be trendy because the only clothing you want anywhere near your body is a bathing suit. (Unfortunately that’s frowned upon in most environments.)

So far, during the summer-like weather, we have seen some of our favorite fashion bloggers putting their own spin on a summer look that most of you probably already have all the pieces for in your closets. So.. if you read the title of this post, then you already know I’m talking about: shorts (a wardrobe staple) and blazers (also a staple). Who knew that pairing the two together could be so magical. See below some examples of how this trend was worn best.

Kim K Tries To Make Pregnancy Sexy

Unless you’re hiding under a rock somewhere, you’re probably well aware that Kim Kardashian is pregnant with Kanye West’s child. The couple got together shortly after Kim’s infamous 72 day marriage went caput. A few months later, she announced she was pregnant.

Since then she’s been caught wearing what looks like the exact opposite of maternity clothes. It’s understandable that she doesn’t want to lose her sex appeal during her pregnancy but some of these looks are just awful! Especially her recent fashion faux pas at the Met Gala. The outfit was so awful that Perez Hilton posted a side-by-side comparison of Mrs. Doubtfire asking “Who wore it better?” Robin Williams responded via Twitter that he thought he wore it better… I agree. But seriously, if she couldn’t see she was wearing a table-cloth someone had to point it out to her! Here is that look along with a few other fashion don’ts from the reality star:

In the photo below, Kim is pictured with her sisters at an appearance to promote their clothing line for Sears, Kardashian Kollection. As you can see, Kim is wearing a tight black dress that accentuates every curve. I know Kim has come out and said that she’s had a bit of a difficult pregnancy, but even so, she looks a little uncomfortable here and I’m guessing it might be because of the unflattering nature of her outfit. And quit it with the heels, we know your feet must be killing you and you look so uncomfortable!

We hate this outfit here at CW44! We’ve talked about it before and I’m happy to mention it again because it is just so bad! This white evening gown hugs all of her curves, and not in a good way. I think the dress is beautiful but it’s almost too sexy for someone who’s expecting.

This next look is my least favorite of Kim’s pregnancy looks; this dress is just down right unflattering! It’s just upsetting when I know I’ve seen Kim look stunning on so many occasions. This red lace number is the wrong color, the wrong fit, the wrong pattern, it’s just wrong! Come on Kim, I expect better from you!

Even though Kim seems to have a stylist that doesn’t understand that she’s with child, there have been a few times where she gets it right. Below, Kim is pictured at the MTV Movie Awards channeling her sexy style while also keeping in mind that she’s pregnant. This little black dress hugs her in all the right places and shows off her baby bump beautifully. Good job with this look Kim!

Whether you love the idea of Kim Kardashian procreating or you love to hate it, within the next few months she’ll be popping out Kanye’s child. Let’s just hope she pops out some better looks for the last few months of her pregnancy.

Movie Review: Fast & Furious 6

Pretty people drive shiny cars that go real fast and crash. That was the only sentence I wanted to have in this review of Fast & Furious 6. I wanted you to open the webpage and only see that. Corporate didn’t like the idea and the truth is I would be disrespecting the franchise that has reinvented itself and made car loads of cash along the way. Instead of racing and drifting, the F & F franchise has turned into B-Movie heist films with spectacular crashes and beautiful people driving the fast rides. This week the motor-head family lead by Vin Diesel’s Toretto and Paul Walker’s Brian try to take down an international terrorist in order to gain immunity from their past crimes in Fast & Furious 6.

Fast & Furious 6 has our clan of racers living the dream and leaving their lives of crime in the rear view mirror after the heist in Brazil. That is until Agent Hobbs(Dwayne Johnson) approaches them with an offer. Help Hobbs and company hunt down Owen Shaw(Luke Evans) and they will be given their freedom. If that wasn’t tempting enough, Toretto also finds out that his deceased lover Letty(Michelle Rodriguez) is back from the dead and helping the criminal organization. The gang teams with Hobbs to take down Shaw and his criminal network.

Resurrections and criminal masterminds that specialize in vehicular warfare? Sounds dumb and you would be right. But it’s also a whole lot of dumb fun as well. Fast & Furious 6 never tries to be Shakespeare. After six movies the filmmakers know what they are and play right into it. The car chases are top-notch including the chase between Toretto’s crew and Shaw’s metal formula one style race car that looks like it drove off the set of Mad Max. There are also tanks and airplanes that get involved in the action in Fast & Furious 6. The script is bad, but the action is strong which is exactly what you would expect from a F & F film. I doubt anybody is showing up to hear the riveting dialogue between Walker and Diesel.

Fast & Furious 6 is ridiculous at times, but you can’t deny the franchise’s popcorn charm. The film leaves you entertained even if the plot is weak as a Ford Festiva racing against Dom’s Dodge Charger. I’m not a huge fan of this franchise and I never understood why they made a part 2 in the first place. But I did find myself letting go and enjoying the big mindless action of Fast & Furious 6. Actors like the Dwayne Johnson have helped breathe new life into the franchise and for the first time I’m actually intrigued by the next installment on the way. Make sure you stick around until the end for the tease. Overall I give Fast & Furious 6 2 1/2 potatoes out of 4, but I do expect fans of the franchise to have an even higher opinion than mine.

WOW moments from Billboard Music Awards 2013

There were some serious WOW moments at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. Here are some moments that stood out most to me!

Miley Cyrus Rolls Her Eyes while announcing Justin Bieber as the winner of Top Male Artist. She started her introduction on the Billboard Music Awards stating that the only reason she was there was to announce her new single “We Can’t Stop”, which will be coming out on June 3. When she announced Bieber as the winner of Top Male Artist, she seemed to have a bit of an attitude. It will be interesting to see the direction that this new album portrays Ms. Cyrus. Lately, she has only been in the tabloids for her bizarre haircut, so we’ll see!
