Sometimes it takes a while for a trend to come back, we started seeing fanny packs of all things, trying to make a comeback on the runways a couple of years ago. Let’s just say that very few of us normal girls were buying it, literally and figuratively; but with a name change, now called belt bags/ hip bags, I’m starting to feel a little differently about the product I ridiculed for so long. Just to be clear here we are not talking about your mother’s fanny pack, correction: belt bag. We are talking about a sophisticated hands free way to wear your purse which just so happens to be attached to your waist.

Since I’m never one to turn away from my favorite fashion bloggers, I looked and saw that two of them were rocking out a fanny pack hip bag. I’m not going to lie and pretend that at first I didn’t know if I liked it, but after further consideration I’m giving it two thumbs up, (along with overalls in case you missed that post).

Beth from B. Jones Style wore her belt bag two different ways, one sophisticated and the other 70’s chic. Shop her Saddle Belt Bag here.

Maegan from …love Maegan wore hers a little more casual. Shop her Parker Pouch here (on sale for only $30)!

The picture below was taken in October 2012 of Rachel Zoe. You know if she’s doing it then it’s definitely OK!
