We have talked a lot about The Bling Ring since its release. Although the movie did not do particularly well in the box office, it was based on a very interesting and controversial chain of events. We have seen the mug shots (check them out here) and we have seen the film (check out CW44’s Couch Potato’s review here) but we haven’t heard too much from the victims… until now!

Bilson’s got beef! The CW’s own Rachel Bilson spoke out about the movie in an interview with Cosmo UK. Perez Hilton reported on the interview explaining that, as a victim of the robberies, Bilson was put-off by the film. Bilson told Comso UK,

“I thought it was weird to glorify something that was so upsetting for a lot of people. It’s important to detach from material things, but the special, personal things I lost are hard to forget.”

I get it. Being robbed is truly no laughing matter.  I can understand how the movie may have made light of what was probably an unnerving experience. Celebrities like Bilson are not hurting in the mulah department, but that does not make what happened less intrusive or less devastating.

Moral of the story… don’t rob a celebrity’s house; they’ll make a movie about you and you’ll cause Hollywood beef. It’s just not cool!
