BFCA President Joey Berlin gushed over this year’s film library. “BFCA members have loved covering all these terrific films all year-long and now revisiting them before we filled out our ballots.” He went on to say, “And we’re thrilled to have the lovely and talented Aisha Tyler hosting our gala awards ceremony.  We can’t wait for January 16th, when the Academy Award nominations will be announced in the morning and so many of their honorees will then make their first public appearance as Oscar nominees on our Red Carpet.”

Many of the BFCA’s nominees coincide with our very own movie critic’s favorites. T.M. Powell, our resident Couch Potato, gave “12 Years a Slave,” “Captain Phillips,” “Nebraska” and “Gravity” rave reviews. Check out his reviews here.
