The threat is real. The International Space Station is running low on supplies.

The mission is clear: resupply the station to allow continued space exploration. Today, April 14th, that mission will be fulfilled. SpaceX will launch the Falcon 9 rocket and the Dragon cargo craft today at 4:58pm in a last stitch effort to resupply the space station.

But haven’t we heard of such a mission before? You may believe that the premise of the new CW show The 100 is just a story. The show is science fiction, it can’t be real. Oh, how wrong you are!

The Arc, like the infamous International Space Station, is running low on supplies. The Arc’s only hope of survival is to send a cursed group of 100 down to a scorched Earth in a hopeless search for resources. It’s the same scenario!

Okay, it’s a bit of a stretch, but the similarities are uncanny. Today, SpaceX sends a rocket and a cargo craft, but what’s next? A The 100 scenario may be in our future… our very near future. Or not.

You have been warned. Or not.

While waiting for the inevitable, watch The 100 Wednesday nights at 9pm on CW44!
