The Clearwater Police Department is Pinellas County’s third-largest law enforcement agency. It has more than 230 sworn police officers who protect a city of about 110,000 residents. Two of the most common crimes that plague Clearwater lately are vehicle burglaries and vehicle thefts. Eighty-two percent of vehicle burglaries originate from unlocked cars.
